The Unfolding Human

Specializes in healing therapeutic massage and has a "magic touch"

I have been in the business of massage and bodywork for 33 years. My journey and body of work has included working on professional athletes, actors, National Geographic explorers, children in a psychiatric unit, spas, and my own private practice. I taught craniosacral therapy at the Utah College of Massage Therapy and Healing Mountain Massage School. My modalities include craniosacral, ortho-bionomy, deep tissue, trigger point, cupping and aromatherapy.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I am the owner and therapist of SY Bodyworks where I work with people and their bodies through the power of massage. I believe that massage isn’t just a luxury, it’s a beneficial part of personal healthcare.

Desert Mountain Massage, aka me, Martina, is here to support you in your physical and emotional needs. Massage therapy is known to help reduce pain, release muscular tension and increase range of motion. I am here to help you recognize how everything is connected within your body and how it speaks to you. Our unique emotional circumstances manifest themselves physically and can be released through bodywork. I believe that we are all given gifts in this life, and my gift has been to hear, listen to and follow intuitive guidance. Each session is intentional and catered specifically to you and continuation of this work will help give direction along your own healing journey. I look forward to becoming the massage therapist near you.

Massage Therapy tailored for you! Whether it be a specific issue, or maintaining a sense of well-being, I have just the thing for you. I practice using many eastern modalities (Tuina, Shiatsu, and Thai massage) using Traditional Chinese Medicine as a guide to work with Fascia and facilitate functional movement. I can work very deep for the more athletic needs, while I also have light touch techniques to help regulate the nervous system and energetic body.

I have been a licensed massage therapist in Utah since 2006 and also have my Bachelor's in Kinesiology and Master's in Exercise Physiology. I utilize this educational background in addition to my therapeutic skills to educate clients on how to best support their well-being between massage appointments.
