Utah Museum of Fine Arts

Art gallery managed by the Department of Art & Art History at the University of Utah. Exhibitions rotate throughout the academic school year. Please check the department website for further details.

Opening in 2026, the Salt Lake Art Museum is dedicated to celebrating Utah’s world-class artists, from historical masters to today’s visionary creators. As the first new fine art museum in the State’s capital since 1983, we aim to bridge the gap between Utah’s thriving artistic community—home to more fine artists per capita than anywhere else in the nation—and its limited number of art museums. Housed in the historic B’Nai Israel Temple, a landmark built in 1890 to serve Salt Lake City’s Jewish community, the museum will provide a dynamic space for exhibitions, lectures, competitions, and educational programs.

Banksy in Motion is more than just your ordinary exhibition in Salt Lake City as part of the Art Through Experience series. With the help of modern technology, get up close and personal with the artworks and discover new aspects that you never knew existed. Go on a journey through the art world that you will never forget! Like all other unofficial Banksy-themed exhibitions, this immersive experience has not been authorized by the artist.

The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art has been an award-winning aesthetic force and community leader since it was established in 1931. Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UMOCA’s rich past has resulted in the creation of a cornerstone for contemporary culture in Utah, providing for artistic experimentation, community enrichment, and connection to the world as it occurs through our related experiences. The Museum strives to be a place where all points of view, experiences, and ages feel welcome to explore the pressing issues of our time through socially relevant art exhibitions and educational programming.
