Melancholy is an intimate wine and cocktail bar in Salt Lake City’s Post District featuring natural wines, craft cocktails, small plates, and a cozy vintage atmosphere — perfect for date night and relaxed evenings. Whether you're a natural wine enthusiast or looking for a memorable night out in SLC, Melancholy is a one-of-a-kind experience.

A place to drink and eat. Understudy is the night bar at Sunday School in the Post District, Wednesday to Saturday from 5. Chef-driven cocktails, nine with alcohol and nine without, mirrored and priced the same, plus a natural wine list that moves with the cellar. The kitchen is modern American from chef Tyler Stokes of Provisions: a seasonal menu, local where we can, made from scratch and cooked over charcoal. Oysters, hamachi crudo, wagyu carpaccio, bone marrow, branzino, a proper patty melt. Dinner until 10, then a late menu until close. One record plays each night. Book a table on OpenTable; the bar is always walk-in. 21 and over.
